Hideki Matsui may have played his last major league game four years ago, but he showed he still had some power in his bat as he hit a long home run at the New York Yankees' annual Old-Timers' Game on Sunday.
Matsui, who turned 42 on Sunday, belted the second pitch he saw from David Cone into the second deck in right field for a two-run homer. It wasn't the first time Cone had given up a homer at an Old-Timers' Game, as Tino Martinez took him deep in 2011.
Matsui, the 2009 World Series MVP, is no stranger to the long ball, as he hit 175 homers over 10 big league seasons after swatting 332 in 10 seasons in Japan. And given some of the Yankees' recent injury issues, maybe Matsui could still provide them a little pop in the lineup.br/]
