Hit-and-run critically injures man in Long Island City

LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens -- Police are searching for the driver who hit a man in Long Island City and left him for dead.
Police say the driver took off in a dark-colored SUV after the crash at 35th Street and Queens Boulevard.
It happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
