How to save money on candy this Halloween

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Judging from the yards we've been driving by from Long Island, New York City, and New Jersey, people are into it this year!

Skeleton and graveyard lights are out and a little imagination helps escape the reality off the shutdown and inflation.

Did you buy candy or costumes yet? Because both are expensive with peak high demand!

Regardless of when you buy, the National Retail Federation found that Americans are expected to spend an average of $114 per person this Halloween.

That adds up to about $13.1 billion.

So a lot of that is of course candy, but we hear one big candy company is running a special deal.

Candy is tough to gauge how much you need you either have candy leftover until Christmas or you run out before it's dark.

If you're part of the latter, don't worry, Mars Incorporated is ready to save the planet on Halloween with free candy.

M&M's are offering candy refills on Halloween night through its Halloween rescue squad.

Here's how it works:

You have to live in a GoPuff delivery area to participate. That's like a Door Dash for groceries and snacks. You can submit your request for a candy refill HERE.

M&M's has partnered with GoPuff to deliver candy in under an hour, while supplies last.
