15-year-boy shot in the Lower East Side; 4 persons of interest in custody

LOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police have several persons of interest in custody after a teen was shot in Manhattan on Tuesday.

The shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. at Stanton and Bowery in the Lower East Side.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg at the location.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police have four persons of interest in custody.

A firearm was recovered from the scene.
