RIVERDALE, Bronx (WABC) -- A man is facing charges after a woman died following a visit to a holistic wellness center in the Bronx.
Luis Rojas Cabrera, 55, was charged with reckless endangerment and unauthorized practice of a profession.
He was arrested after 27-year-old Elizabeth Baron died after visiting the Bereshit Lifestyle Center on Riverdale Avenue.
Police say she went into medical distress while getting an anti-aging injection on Sunday.
She was rushed in an ambulance to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A website for the facility lists 55-year-old Cabrera as its founder and lists specialties like hydrotherapy and nutrition.
On the site, Cabrera claims to have performed more than 6,000 surgeries and completed his medical training in Santo Domingo.
Officials say he is licensed in the Dominican Republic, but not in the United States.
On Monday, those who knew Baron said they were shocked to learn of her sudden death and said she was sweet and generous.
The medical examiner will determine her cause of death.
