Man found dead on Penn Station subway platform
MIDTOWN, Manhattan -- Police are investigating after a man was found dead on a subway platform at Penn Station.
Police found the 55-year-old unconscious in the northbound waiting area for the C and E trains shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.
A source tells Eyewitness News that the man may have been assaulted minutes earlier.
The man was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
Uptown A, C and E trains were bypassing 34th Street because of police activity.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
