Man found under southbound IRT subway Friday.

NEW YORK -- Authorities say a man was struck and killed by a subway train in the Bronx.

Fire officials say the victim was found under a southbound train at 6:15 a.m. Friday.

It happened on the IRT Pelham line at the St. Lawrence station at Westchester Avenue.

It wasn't immediately clear how he wound up on the tracks.

No other information was immediately available.
