55-year-old woman dies after being pulled from water by lifeguards near Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A woman has died after being pulled from the water in Brooklyn on Monday night.

Police say a 55-year-old woman was found unconscious and unresponsive near Manhattan Beach at 1448 Oriental Blvd.

Lifeguards removed the woman from the water shortly after 6 p.m.

She was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

No further details have been provided.
