PHILADELPHIA -- The MICHELIN Guide Northeast Ceremony was held on Tuesday night in Philadelphia's Marion Anderson Hall in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.
Honorees included restaurants from five cities featured in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide Northeast Cities edition: Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, New York City and Washington, D.C.
"This year marks a momentous occasion for the Northeast Cities to come together and celebrate the exceptional talent across the restaurant communities in these five cities," said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide. "We are thrilled to celebrate the first-ever selections in both Boston and Philadelphia and welcome several new restaurants into the MICHELIN Star family."

Being awarded a Michelin Star is one of the greatest honors a restaurant can receive, with one meaning "High Quality - Worth A Stop!" Two signify "Excellent Cooking - Worth A Detour!" A rare third star means "Exceptional Cuisine - Worth A Special Journey!"
The Bib Gourmand is a designation given to select restaurants that offer good quality food for a good value - often known as personal favorites among the inspectors when dining on their own time.
The MICHELIN Green Star honors restaurants that are pioneers in sustainable gastronomy.
