41-year-old man stabbed in Midtown Manhattan; police investigating

MIDTOWN, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in Midtown Manhattan on Tuesday.

Officers responded to West 49th Street and Eighth Avenue at just before 9 p.m. for reports of a stabbing at the corner of that intersection.

When officers arrived, they found a 41-year-old man who was stabbed once in the back.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue where he's expected to recover.

There are no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
