
MINEOLA, Long Island (WABC) -- A life-saving rescue was performed on Long Island after a vulnerable woman vanished in the cold.
Police say a K-9 officer and his partner tracked her down in freezing temperatures, finding her disoriented and alone inside a barn.
On Monday, they were recognized for their actions that likely saved her life.
