The Oklahoma City Thunder(-130) are the odds-on favorite to win the 2025 NBA Championship after their Game 5 win against the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, while theIndiana Pacers(+650)are the first team to advance to the Conference Finals with a 4-1 series win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After losing Game 4 and star forward Jayson Tatum at Madison Square Garden, theBoston Celticsdropped from +280 to 25-1 on the championship odds board while theNew York Knicks jumped from 18-1 to the second-shortest odds at +475. The Minnesota Timberwolves (+575), who hold the third-shortest odds to win the championship, are up 3-1 on the Golden State Warriors(150-1), who hold the longest odds of any remaining team.
The Finals MVP race also saw a major shakeup after Jayson Tatum's injury.Shai Gilgeous-Alexanderremains the favorite but Jalen Brunson went from 25-1 to +600 to win the award, ahead ofAnthony Edwards, (+650) and Tyrese Haliburton, whose own odds jumped from 12-1 to +850 after he helped close out the Cavs.
