
QUEENS, New York (WABC) -- A man wanted in connection with a stabbing on a subway train in Queens has been arrested, police said.
Luis Pallchisaca, 21, was arrested and charged on Wednesday with attempted murder and assault after he reportedly stabbed a man on a southbound No. 7 train, police said.
The attack happened on Sunday around 11:30 p.m.
Police say the victim, a 25-year-old man, was on the train when the suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him multiple times in the back with an unknown sharp object.
The victim was taken to New York Presbyterian/Queens Hospital and remains in critical condition.
