Man arrested, charged with murder in deadly Long Island City high-rise stabbing
LONG ISLAND CITY, Queens (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest in a deadly stabbing inside a high-rise apartment in Long Island City over the weekend.
Bretford Brewer, 36, of Brooklyn, is charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Carlos Penzo, also 36, was found in his apartment at 43-25 Hunter Street on Saturday afternoon.
He had multiple stab wounds to his head, face and chest.
Officials said on Tuesday that they had taken a man into custody who was found naked on the roof of the apartment building.
Authorities say he was spraying a fire extinguisher at security cameras.
Brewer was expected to be arraigned on Thursday.
