Original Madison Square Park Shake Shack closing its doors - but only temporarily

NEW YORK -- The original Shake Shack in Madison Square Park that started something of a burger empire for restaurant legend Danny Meyer is closing its doors - but just temporarily.
The original Shake Shack kiosk will be closing for 5 months for renovations.
There are now more than 40 Shake Shacks including the Madison Square Park location, which draws lines that wrap around the park.
The renovation will start in November.
