Pedestrian fatally struck by garbage truck in the Bronx

NORWOOD, Bronx (WABC) -- A pedestrian was fatally struck by a garbage truck in the Norwood section of the Bronx Tuesday morning.

The victim was struck at Jerome Avenue and East Gun Hill Road just after 5:15 a.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was possibly homeless.

The truck stopped at the scene and there is no criminality immediately suspected.
