40-year-old man hit by tractor-trailer in deadly hit-and-run in the Bronx

MOTT HAVEN, Bronx (WABC) -- Police are searching for the driver of a tractor-trailer following a fatal hit-and-run in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx.

The fatal collision happened at East 138th St and Bruckner Boulevard just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The tractor-trailer struck a 40-year-old man, who was then hit by a taxi cab.

While the taxi driver stopped at the scene, the tractor-trailer driver fled.

The man succumbed to his injuries.

The police investigation is ongoing.
