
SUNSET PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a woman in Brooklyn.
The deadly collision happened just after 9:30 p.m. on Saturday near 41st Street and Seventh Avenue in Sunset Park.
According to the NYPD, a silver SUV was traveling northbound on Seventh Avenue when it struck a 75-year-old woman trying to cross the street. Officials say the car fled the scene.
Upon arrival, responding officers found the woman with trauma throughout her body.
First responders transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests, as authorities now try to determine what led up to the fatal crash.
