15-year-old boy critical after being shot on Manhattan-bound subway train in Queens

Police have 2 persons of interest, both teens, in custody

QUEENS, New York (WABC) -- A teen is in critical condition after being shot on a subway train in Queens on Monday.

Police say a man 15-year-old boy was shot multiple times on a Manhattan-bound A train near the 80thStreet station just after 6 p.m.

They say he was shot at least one time in the chest. Police took him to Jamaica Hospital in an NYPD vehicle. He's in critical condition.

NYPD officials say police have two person of interest, both teens, in custody.

It's not clear yet what led to the shooting.

A trains are severely disrupted between Manhattan and Queens as the NYPD conducts an investigation at 80th Street.
