ROCKAWAY, Queens -- Three firefighters were hurt while battling a two-alarm fire in a vacant home in Queens.
The house on Beach 43rd Street in the Rockaway section caught fire just after 3:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
The flames spread quickly throughout the structure.
The fire was so intense that firefighters had to pull out of the home and battle the blaze from the outside.
Three firefighters were treated for minor injuries
The cause of the fire is under investigation
The house has been vacant for several years.
