CLIFTON, NEW JERSEY (WABC) -- Rocky, the dog that was snatched from his backyard in Clifton, New Jersey, by a woman and child, has been found safe.
After he was dognapped on Easter Sunday, Rocky was found and reunited with his family.
"Such a great feeling that we recovered him and that he's going to go back home," a family member, Ronnie Villalovos, said.
Ring video captured the shocking moment when a woman and child snatched Rocky from the back porch of his home.
His family was devastated by his disappearance. On Wednesday, they are relieved by his return.
The Chan family has had Rocky for seven years and the last few days have been filled with confusion and sadness.
Now, they are celebrating Rocky's return.
"I'm really happy. I've been really stressed out these past few days," Chen's daughter said.
Police are reportedly talking to the woman who took the dog after following up on the Honda Pilot that was seen during the incident.
The Chan family says she is a resident of Newark and was apparently making deliveries in Clifton when she spotted Rocky.
The Yorki mix had dashed out the door when another family member walked inside the home.
The woman was seen on camera grabbing the dog from his own yard after her had just been outside for a few minutes.
His family says they plan on spoiling him after the harrowing experience.
"Definitely steak, he loves steak. Whatever he wants. We'll probably get him a steak bigger than him," the family said.
At this point, there are no criminal charges.
