School safety agent stabbed while breaking up fight near junior high school in East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH, Brooklyn (WABC) -- A school safety agent was injured while breaking up a fight in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

The school safety agent was outside I.S. 285 Meyer Levin, a junior high school in East Flatbush, during dismissal when she saw a disturbance down the block at a bus stop.

Officials say she ran to the location and discovered a group fighting with a student.

She got in between to break up the fight, and was stabbed in the calf while protecting the student.

The school safety agent was taken to Kings County Hospital where she is in stable condition.

No arrests have been made so far.
