Search for 3 suspects after police chase in Hillside, New Jersey

HILLSIDE, New Jersey (WABC) -- Authorities were searching for three suspects after a police chase in Hillside, New Jersey.

It happened on Route 22 before 6 a.m.

A car was traveling eastbound on Route 22, being chased by police from several townships.

Police were involved from not only Hillside, but also Union, and Westfield which is a few towns away.

There is no word of any injuries.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

It is not yet known why the vehicle was being pursued by police.
