Ticketmaster cracks down on Harry Styles concert scalpers

MANHATTAN (WABC) -- Ticketmaster is rereleasing tickets for Harry Styles' residency at Madison Square Garden after they say they caught scalpers buying tickets.

Ticketmaster said scalpers used multiple accounts and fake identities to buy tickets to Style's 30-night residency starting in August.

The scalpers got around ticket limits and resold the tickets for profit.

The company has since canceled those tickets and is allowing fans to purchase them at their original prices.

Fans can request tickets April 30 at 12pm EDT - May 1 at 5pm EDT. If your request can be fulfilled, you'll receive a second email by May 8 at 11:59pm EDT confirming your requested tickets.

Ticketmaster said anyone can request tickets, but fans who don't yet have tickets to the NYC shows will be prioritized.

Ticketmaster said anyone who bought directly on Ticketmaster is not affected.

The company also said the tickets in this request campaign are a limited subset of the residency that were originally prices under $130. "These were the most affordable seats and were specifially targeted by the scalpers we caught," the company said.
