Window washer falls to his death

LOWER MANHATTAN (WABC) -- A window washer fell five stories to his death in Manhattan Tuesday afternoon.

The victim, 38, fell from the window of the fifth floor of a building at 335 Greenwich Street just before 1:10 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was cleaning the window from the inside and was not wearing a harness. The window was unhinged and swung open, and he fell out.

The washer worked for Aerial Window Cleaning.
