Dead animals found in crates in home in Woodbridge, New Jersey
WOODBRIDGE, New Jersey (WABC) -- An investigation is underway after numerous animals were found dead inside a home in Woodbridge, New Jersey, police said on Monday.
Police say they received a call for a welfare check of a resident on Douglas Street.
Officers entered the home after discovering a foul odor.
Inside the home, numerous animals were found dead, including numerous dogs in crates, hamsters and lizards, according to officials.
The fire department and Middlesex County Hazmat responded.
Animal control removed the dead animals.
The investigation is ongoing.
