NORTHPORT (WABC) -- Nothing goes better with the crisp autumn air that some warm apple cider.
Richters Orchard in Northport, Long Island welcomes apple pickers and anyone looking for a taste of fall's favorite fruit.
The orchard has been in operation since 1900 and is run by brothers Louis and Andrew Amsler and their family, who have been fruit growers on Long Island since 1934.
Eyewitness News videographer Todd Pierce met with the people who keep the orchard running.
Richters, on Pulaski Road in Northport, is open 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Mon.-Sat., 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sun. August-May (closed Tue. after Jan 1).
