Harlem shooting leaves 1 dead

HARLEM, N.Y. (WABC) -- A man was shot to death in Harlem overnight.

Around 2:30 a.m. Friday, officers found an 18-year-old shot at West 111th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. He was taken to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim, identified by the New York City Police Department as Deiondre Viera, 18, of New York, was struck in the head. The investigation is ongoing.
