NEW YORK (WABC) -- American Airlines says it has resolved technical issues that grounded flights in and out of three airport hubs Thursday.

The FAA reports that American Airlines requested a ground stop for all traffic in and out of Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Chicago O'Hare (ORD) and Miami (MIA) due to a computer issue.

The airline tweeted the update Thursday afternoon.

The problem impacted flights out of New York City that are heading to these cities.
