Midtown restaurant L'Amico gives homage to chef's Italian heritage

MIDTOWN (WABC) -- He's the iconic French chef behind some well-known restaurants like BLT here in the city.

Chef Laurent Tourondel has opened nearly 60 restaurants across the world, but one in Midtown pays homage to the other side of his family: his Italian side.

It has an emphasis on dishes cooked in L'Amico's two massive wood fired ovens, making up the centerpiece of this spot.
