Accused tanning mom case going to grand jury

NUTLEY, New Jersey

Prosecutors say Patricia Krentcil's 5-year-old daughter suffered first-degree burns when she was brought into a stand up tanning booth.

Krentcil, 44, is charged with second-degree child endangerment.

New Jersey law states nobody under the age of 14 is allowed to use a tanning facility. Anyone under the age of 18 needs parental consent.

Krentcil has pleaded not guilty and remains free on a $2,500 cash bond.
