BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- There are new details about a shooting and wild car chase in the Bronx.

Eyewitness News obtained exclusive video showing what happened moments before the chain of events that ended with three people arrested and innocent bystanders injured.

The attempted shooting took place outside a social adult day care center in the Morrisania section.

The victim, fortunately was not hit. And it all happened very quickly.

In the video, a few people are seen walking on the sidewalk outside the Forever Young Social Day Care Center when a man in a hoodie suddenly pulls a gun and fires two shots, missing his intended victim.

Also on 3rd Avenue, two police officers witness the shooting and follow the shooter and two other men in a Dodge Magnum in what becomes a high speed chase.

"That's when the crash happened," said eyewitness Michael Smith, who saw the crash.

And security cameras captured the violent end of that chase. At 167th Street and Intervale a school bus barely clears an intersection when the Dodge Magnum roars past with police cars chasing it.

"Sounded like a shotgun blast," said Smith. The violent impact of the Dodge spun a Honda Civic around and seriously injured the 76-year old driver.

"You heard the guy in this car here yelling help, help," said eyewitness Donna Dorns.

"Poor guy here driving along minding his own business, whole day ruined," said eyewitness Brian Phillips.

At one point during the chase the car hit a livery cab, injuring the 61-year old driver and his 50-year old female passenger.

Not far away, as seen on this video, the Magnum then crashes into the second car.

"They jumped out of the car and ran up this block. That's when the other cops that were on foot ran to chase them down," said Dorns.

"A swarm of police cars was showing up left and right," said Phillips.

Police arrested the three, charging them in the attempted shooting on 3rd Avenue.

Kevin Otero, 20, of the Bronx, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.

Dennis Sierra, 20, of the Bronx, was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, and Louis Sierra, 18, of the Bronx, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
