STATEN ISLAND (WABC) -- An NYPD lieutenant and two detectives are suspended after allegedly driving right through the storefront of a salon on Staten Island and then fleeing the scene.

It was a thunderous crash followed by blaring horns and sirens.

Within a few seconds someone tried to get out of the car that had backed into the hair salon with such force, that it didn't stop until it hit the back wall.

The driver of the car tried to drive right back out, but apparently got stuck.

That's the scene Crystal MacNair saw when she got there that night.

"All the way in!" said MacNair, the salon's owner.

Ms. MacNair has cleaned up since, but she still can't get rid of the tire tracks and some of the other damage made by the car that was apparently driven by a member of the NYPD.

Two other members of the NYPD were allegedly passengers in the vehicle, none of whom were there when on-duty police arrived at the scene.

An NYPD lieutenant and two detectives have been suspended without pay during the investigation.

"We've only been open not even a year yet, so that's really what was more upsetting. My floors are damaged, my walls are damaged, I have stylists that are out, eight stations were damaged, the stylists stations, two makeup stations, my reception area was down," MacNair said.

Crystal is just 31-years-old, she's been saving to open her own store for 14 years and this was her dream.

"I don't know what happened to them. They were gone when I got here," MacNair said.
