STAATSBURG, N.Y. -- A body recovered in the Hudson River has been confirmed as a kayaker who went missing over the weekend.

Search and rescue teams had been looking for 32-year-old Ian Jones since Saturday morning, after a boat carrying him and his girlfriend -- 22-year-old Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann, who is the daughter of Annie Lennox -- capsized in the water near Mills Mansion.

The Dutchess County Sheriff's Office reports that just after noon on Monday, a male body matching Jones' description was located near the Poughkeepsie Yacht Club.

The body was removed, and the Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy that positively identified the victim as Jones.

Tali Fruchtmann-Lennox posted on Instagram after the news was released, writing "My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me. All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light."

The autopsy revealed no injuries or trauma to Jones' body, and the findings are consistent with drowning.

There were no signs of criminal conduct or foul play found, and toxicology tests were performed, but the results of those tests won't be known for several weeks.

The search for Jones has now officially ended, and at this time, his death is considered to be an accidental drowning with no criminal charges expected.

Fruchtmann was picked up by passers-by on a boat after being separated from Jones in the water.

Neither was wearing a life jacket.

The area is about 30 miles north of where Vincent Viafore drowned in April.
