DANBURY, Conn. (WABC) -- A small plane crashed in Danbury near the airport this evening.

The plane crashed into a swamp off Miry Brook Road and Route 7, which is right next to Danbury Airport at the end of one of the runways.

Officials say the pilot missed the runway while trying to land.

The plane involved is a Beechcraft Bonanza F33A. It's registered to a Newtown, Conn. man, but it's not yet known if he was piloting the plane.

It is also unclear how many people were on board, but first responders say nobody was injured.
