NEWARK, N.J. (WABC) -- Police in Newark are frantically looking for the cold-blooded killers of a young woman who was shot in the face for no apparent reason.

You need not speak Spanish to understand a mother's loss; this is the language of heartbreak.

The family of Ana Satian is begging for help in catching the monster who murdered her.

"She was very happy. She always had a smile on her face. She was a good sister, good mother, and good friend," said Ninfa Satian, the victim's sister.

It was just after 8 Saturday night in Newark's north ward; the 22-year-old mother of two had walked to a friend's house on North 5th street, to pick her up for a night of dancing.

But as she climbed her friend's front steps, two assailants approached her and one of them shot her in the face.

She died the next morning.

She left behind a husband, a 5-year-old son, and a daughter who's just 18 months old.

"They got no mother now. So somebody has to pay for that," said Luis Pineda, the victim's brother-in-law.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office released pictures of a white Nissan Maxima investigators believe the gunmen might have been driving.

But, they still haven't revealed a motive for the killing and they say they have no suspects.

"It affects us all as a community," said Anibal Ramos, Newark City Councilman. "It happened in an area that's somewhat busy, and even if it's a minor detail that may seem unimportant, we want the public's help in giving us information."

"I think she was at the wrong place at the wrong time, but I just want justice for her," Satian said.

There is now a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
