Jermaine Jones fined by disciplinary committee for Red Bulls fracas

New England Revolution midfielder Jermaine Jones has been fined an undisclosed amount by the MLS Disciplinary Committee for an an incident at the end of New England's 2-1 win over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday.

The committee found that Jones violated the league's policy regarding hands to the head/face/neck of an opponent, as well as the Mass Confrontation Policy. Red Bulls forward Anatole Abang and Revolution goalkeepers coach Remi Roy were also fined for the incident.

In other MLS Disciplinary Committee news, Vancouver Whitecaps FC were also found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy for an incident midway through the first half in the their 0-0 draw with the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
