NYCFC's David Villa, Andrea Pirlo lead MLS All-Star Fan XI

NYCFC's David Villa and Andrea Pirlo were both voted onto the 2016 MLS All-Star Fan XI, announced by the league on Saturday.

Villa won the "More Than a Vote" bid as determined by the number of goals fans scored while playing as him in the FIFA 16 video game.

Pirlo and the rest of the XI were selected through fan voting at at MLSsoccer.com.

NYCFC was one of three teams with two players named to the Fan XI, along with Philadelphia's Andre Blake andKeegan Rosenberry, and Montreal's Laurent Ciman and Didier Drogba.

The MLS All-Stars will face Arsenal on July 28, though making the Fan XI does not ensure they will be in the squad for the game.

Next weekend, All-Stars coach Dominic Kinnear will select 20 players to the team, and Don Garber will make two additional Commissioner's Picks.
