Coronavirus News: Calls for plasma donations for MTA conductor battling COVID-19 in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- An MTA conductor fighting for his life after contracting coronavirus is in desperate need of plasma.

Ben Schaeffer is currently at a hospital in Brooklyn.

Officials are asking men with any blood type, but especially A+, and who have already won their battle with COVID-19 to donate plasma.

Donors must have been symptom-free for 14 days.
