Bronx teen stabbed to death in Mott Haven section

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police made an arrest after an 18-year-old student at Mott Haven Community High School was killed in an attack after school Monday afternoon.

Christan Tucker, 20, of the Bronx, has been charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and a weapon charge.

Joshua Acosta, of the Bronx, was stabbed twice, as well as possibly beaten with a baseball bat and struck by a vehicle, near the high school at the corner of 147th Street and Wales Avenue.

His 20-year-old brother, Christopher Acosta, was stabbed in the back

Both victims were taken to Lincoln Hospital where Joshua Acosta was pronounced dead on Tuesday. His brother was listed in stable condition.

The city Department of Education said of Acosta's death, "Our hearts go out to his family and we are providing a crisis team to assist students and staff for any counseling."

The suspects fled in a black sedan. One of them, a 20-year-old, was arrested a short time later. Authorities are searching for others.
