VIDEO: 'Cat'-burglar steals cat food from Southampton home

SOUTHAMPTON (WABC) -- Police in Suffolk County are searching for a man who broke into two residences in Southampton and made off with some bizarre and less-than-pricey wares.

The suspect entered an occupied residence on Barkers Island Road in Southampton back in September. Later on in the same day, he entered another residence, where he made off with approximately $200 worth of cat food.

The suspect was caught on surveillance video at the second location.

The Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police are searching and trying to identify the suspect in the video. Anyone with information is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. A $5,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
