Police arrest man accused of raping, kidnapping of woman in Paterson

PATERSON, N.J. (WABC) -- Police have arrested a man who they say kidnapped and attacked a woman.

Craig Hall, 23, wanted for kidnapping and raping a woman twice in Paterson, N.J., last Saturday, was picked up at a McDonald's in Midtown Thursday afternoon after officials followed him onto a street.

He was taken into custody without incident. He will be extradited to Paterson to face the rape charges.

He's accused of abducting a woman on Bloomfield Avenue Saturday afternoon in Paterson before sexually assaulting her in an abandoned home.

The woman was able to escape and call police.
