RONKONKOMA, Long Island (WABC) -- Three teenagers were ejected from their car after a crash on the Long Island Expressway early Sunday.
It happened at around 2:45 a.m. near exit 61 in Ronkonkoma.
Suffolk County Police say a 21-year-old man was driving a 2015 Honda Civic eastbound between Exit 61 and Exit 62 when one of the tires on the vehicle blew out.
The Honda then struck the guardrail and overturned.
There were four passengers in the car, one in the front seat and three in the back seat.
The three back seat passengers were ejected, two onto the roadway and one onto the side of the roadway.
Everyone in the vehicle was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
