ELIZABETH, New Jersey (WABC) -- FBI agents raided the home of alleged terror suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami in Elizabeth, New Jersey, on Friday.

12 agents went upstairs to the Rahami family home, just above the American Fried Chicken restaurant that they own.

It's been nearly two weeks since the bombings and police shoot out in Linden where he was captured.

The FBI had been on the scene for days at the Rahami family home.

But Friday afternoon, they returned and they forced their way into the home.

The restaurant has been closed ever since the raid on September 19th.

They've been taking away what they consider evidence in the case against Rahami.

They are trying to figure out what Rahami had been up to in the months leading up to the bombings in Chelsea and Seaside Park.

Another part of the investigation that they have been working on is allegedly showing Rahami exploding the devices in the backyard.

Several of FBI agents could be seen coming from the backyard, most of them a wearing plastic protective covering.

Rahami is still in the hospital recovering from the shootout with police.
