Any information about any Marvel project is on a 'need-to know' basis - and even members of the cast of "Marvel: Agents of Shield" don't know what's coming next.
Sandy Kenyon recently spoke with Chloe Bennet and Clark Gregg, who have both been with the show since the beginning. They didn't volunteer that much new information, but they weren't THAT careful either.
The only constant is change in the Marvel universe. When "Agents of Shield" first hit prime time, the character of Coulson, played by Gregg, came back from the dead. This season he's no longer the boss - which means he's back in the field.
"Yeah. I can certainly imagine on some shows you kind if going to do a different version of the case every week, and with us the whole thing changes."
Bennet, who plays Daisy, told us her character is out on her own - and no longer one of the agents.
"The character I auditioned for is nothing compared, it's so different from the character I'm playing now.
They say that from the pilot until the fourth season, the show has been torn to pieces, then built back up from its DNA.
The show has a devoted following that tracks all the twists and turns, then gets to talk about them with the cast - at conventions like the recent Comic Con in New York.
"You get there and you see families who have been following the story and people who have really educated questions about it, and it kinda gives us a burst of energy to get back through the season when you see how much people are really paying attention," said Gregg.
Gregg has been on-screen for so long, it's easy to forget he began his career as a theater actor in New York City. More than a quarter of a century has passed since he played Lt. Jack Ross in the play "A Few Good Men."
Marvel Agents of Shield is part of an ABC line-up that begins Tuesday at 8 p.m. with "The Middle" and continues with "American Housewife" at 9 p.m., "Fresh Off the Boat" followed by "The Real O'Neals" and then "Marvel's Agents of Shield" at 10 p.m. null
