INDIO, California (WABC) -- Mother Monster is taking over the headlining spot for an expecting mother of twins at this year's Coachella music festival.

Beyonce canceled her gig after her doctors recommended she bow out of the performance due to her pregnancy. She rescheduled her performance for next year.

Five days later, Lady Gaga announced she was her replacement -- saying she will perform at the festival both weekends in April.

The pop star took to Twitter to confirm the announcement to her fans with the statement "Let's party in the dessert."

Her iconic Super Bowl halftime show is sure to be a sneak peak of what Little Monsters can expect at the festival and her tour.

Gaga also announced in early February her "Joanne" world tour for this summer.

Coachella will take place for two weeks at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Gaga will be joined at Coachella by fellow headliners Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead.
