NEW YORK -- Tired of hoax news stories showing up in your news feed? Facebook is now doing something about it.

The social media giant made an update Tuesday designed to stop fake news stories from spreading. Users can now flag stories they see in their feeds that they believe to be hoaxes or false.

When many people flag a post as false, Facebook will reduce the number of times that story makes it into news feeds.
