Man dies in fall from building balcony on Lower East Side

LOWER EAST SIDE (WABC) -- Police in Manhattan are investigating the death of a 28-year old man who fell from a terrace early Sunday morning.

Police say the man was sitting on the railing of a 6th floor balcony at 38 Delancey Street at about 2:30 a.m. when he fell two floors below.

The man landed on the fourth floor balcony and hit his head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Police say there is no criminality involved.
