Staten Island church catches fire

A three-alarm fire burned through a church in the West Brighton section of Staten Island.

The fire is in a church on Delafield Avenue just before 2:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The building has been vacant for more than a year and is considered suspicious. One firefighter had a minor injury.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
