Boy ejected, 3 hurt in Freehold head-on collision

FREEHOLD (WABC) -- A young child was ejected from a vehicle following a head-on collision in New Jersey Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred between a Chevy Silverado and a Toyota Corolla around 9 a.m. on County Road 539 in Upper Freehold.

A woman and a boy were in the Toyota, and the child was thrown from the vehicle. Both were airlifted to Capital Health Hospital in Trenton with serious injuries.

A woman in the Chevy was taken by ground to Robert Wood Johnson in Hamilton.

The conditions of the victims are not known.

The road was shut down in both directions for the investigation, and the cause has not yet been determined.
